I'd Like to Thank....
Long week.LOOONG!
Kids were home for
*come on, I was a teacher, I know you need a break because Spring Break is long 6 weeks away. Whatever.*
We made it, thanks to cousins, aunt's and Yaya.
We made it despite the fiber issue, the constipation, and the sobbing after visiting the restroom. Me, not K.
Yes, I cry. A lot. If it's the worse thing I do to cope when things get shitty (pun intended), then sue me.
We made it and school's back in Monday.
Watching the Oscars had me thinking.
Who can I also thank just in this last week for getting me through another motherhood challenge?
I'd like to thank Yaya and Papa for always being there. For taking the kids every week for even just an hour to let me (or me and hubby) connect and breathe.
I'd like to thank Aunt B and Aunt M for having the kids over this week.
I'd like to thank my friends, and blog friends for the support and to remind me I'm not alone when I feel like I am.
I'd like to thank the small blessings in disguise. The announcement that our newest nephew was born tonight (Sunday), welcome baby D and congrats big brother J.
I'd like to thank the upcoming events in my life that will consume my mind and keep the negative things from drowning me.
-Monday night is Bunco night. $5 to have a few hours of friends, food, and gamblin'.
-Saturday is DQ's second dance comp, always fun and exciting!
-Also Saturday I get to see my pals Molly and Ranch Girl, oh I need me my girls!
-In a few weeks, My Boy will be hitting the big EIGHT, so a party will be in order.
-Opening Day for baseball is around the corner, and who doesn't love baseball, hotdogs, apple pie, and...Chevrolet?!
-And! I'm going to BlogHer in July!! The time was here to make the decision and it's made. It's a go. It's going to rock!
Maybe Fiber One granola bars can shoot me a sponsorship?
Benefiber.
Huggies Wipes?!
Kendall-Jackson Winery?
Humor, it heals.
Here's to things to look forward to!

We only had two days without the kiddos. I missed them but I was happy for their bonding opportunities with their parents (or the TV for some). It always cracks me up at the excitement of the parents when they bring the kids back to school after a break.
Sponsorship ideas are good. What about Charmin?

I knew you could make it thru the week! Great job. In nursing we call it delegation. In real life I call it asking for help when you need it. You did exactly what you should have done!

What was it about President's Week that got us down in the dumps. Besides illness.
February 23, 2009 at 9:22 AM
Well that is a lot of good news...ESPECIALLY the BlogHer stuff;)
And if you get Fiber One to sponsor you, get some samples for me...I've been downing them for weeks now.

I'm glad you made it through the week, and although not the same... I'm dealing with not one but TWO dogs with poopage issues right now can you say Bounty and Clorox clean up?
February 23, 2009 at 4:52 PM
I only cry when I've had too much wine. My mother always gets overly concerned when I don't cry at a death of a loved one or a pet. I do cry for them, after about a half a bottle though.
blessings!

I can't believe you get a whole week off for President's Day. I'm moving to where you are! We only get President's Day off and no more. It is a looong time till spring break!! Glad you survived the week though. I love the idea of thanking those that have made what we do possible...like maintaining our sanity. Congrats on making the decision for BlogHer. I keep trying to decide, but the money issue keeps sneaking up. I hope it works out.
February 23, 2009 at 6:16 PM
Oh I hope I get to go to BlogHer and hug your face off.
I cry a whole lot too. I just told my husband it's like a reflex, sometimes it doesn't even mean anything. aaah, to be crazy and know it :)

Anywho, glad you made it through the week!!
