We do the same thing with the screen saver as you! Isn't that fun when the kids just sit and wait for the next picture? I don't have near the libraray you do (or the quality for that matter), but I guess my kids are easily amused!

What a great shot. My mom does the same thing with the screensaver. I'll be talking to her on the phone and she'll be like, "oh, look, here's you and Julie and your baby shower," and then a few minutes later, "oup, remember that dinner on the terrace in Orvieto?" I finally have to be like, "Mom, turn OFF your screensaver!" :-)

I have done this before and you are right, it is fun. My eldest daughter always wants to see our family digital picts and pushes her way to the front any time I am working on the picts. Maybe I will change my screen saver tonight...might be fub! Thanks for the inspiration!

That beach photo plus the Greenday song was very powerful.
I can't do that for a screensaver unless I want photos of the kids interspersed with Bathtub Gangsta. Haven't separated real life from blog life yet.:)

Like you, I have thousands of pictures on my external hard drive. At one point, they were all on my computer hard drive, and it failed. My computer guy was able to save them for me, so now I keep them safe. I so need to get them printed and into albums...some day. I'll be doing TWT again next week!

I have commented on many A Thousand Words Thursday entries of other bloggers, but never participated. I have seen some bloggers use videos in the past. That is what I did today for my first post, but from now on I will post old photos. I think this is a wonderful idea and thank you for sharing. I look forward to next week and meeting new bloggers. We have the same screen saver. just now we have very few pictures in our system. But now I am working on that!I am going to add all the photos from mine and husband's childhood to the date...After that it is going to be a very memorable experiance everytime...

I found your blog through BlogFrog and wanted to come visit. We do the same thing with photos except we have one of those digital photo frames and it rotates through a hundred or so pictures. I love seeing older photos that I had forgotten about. When Grandma comes to visit, she just sits and stares that the moving pics like it was TV.
