An Off Day
Dreams are so strange.I've talked about the ones before when I failed college.
Or when I've lost an adult tooth.
Bizarre.
Never can quite figure them out.
Last night I had a doozy.
One of those that makes you feel off all day.
If I could actually remember the whole thing, I'd fill you in.
But, that's the strangest part, I remember next to nothing.
I woke feeling completely off, scared, and honestly a little creeped out.
I'm actually afraid to go to bed tonight feeling it might start up where it left off.
Did I eat late last night?
Am I watching too much Jon & Kate + 8?
Did showing the kids parts of the The Lost Boys because it was filmed at the Boardwalk actually scare me more?
Here I am analyzing something I don't remember.
How's that for a therapy test.
Maybe I'm coming down with something.
Am I thinking too much?
What did you dream about last night?

Go to sleep. It's the only way you'll get rid of it. Let your brain work it out subconciously. (Yes, I know that's totally spelled wrong. But I'm too tired to look it up!)

My problem is that I do remember my dreams, especially the weird ones.
June 16, 2009 at 5:04 AM
I hate when that happens. Sometimes I wake up all ticked off and I know I was ticked off in my dream but I can't remember why.

I tend to dream more when I'm behind on my sleep, when I'm not sleeping soundly, and when I am being awakened at night. Last night, thankfully, was a restful night. But I know exactly what you mean about those weird dreams making you feel off all day.

I always find that I have th strangest dreams when I don't feel well. Last night I was having such vivid dreams that I really couldn't tell you about cause I dont' recall enough information. I just know that I had like 43 different dreams about various things that are going on in my life.
Then at one point I recall waking up and grabbing my pillow as if I were going to sleep somewhere else, getting out of bed and laying my pillow on the floor. Later I woke up with no pillow and then remembered it was on the floor. I'm not sure if I actually "placed" my pillow on the floor or if I dreamt that I did and I actually tossed it off hte bed or something.
If you care to read the whole story, its on my blog.

Yuck. That's the worst. I had one not long ago about losing one of the kids & snakes. Hope your head clears soon. watch cartoons. or J&K+8.

HATE those. They feel so real, and they are SO scary.
I had on a month or so back that really knocked me for a loop.

I dunno what I dreamed last night, but I'm just glad I got 8 full hours of gloriously uninterrupted sleep :) Good baby! As for your dream, yes, I know the type - try not to let it get you.

dreams freak me out- I have no idea what I dreamt about last night, but I do remember it was good when the phone rang and woke me up! And yes, if you are watching Jon and Kate still - you're watching it too much. I'm sooo hoping that if people stop paying attention to them that they will start paying attention to the kids and stop with their 15 minutes of fame crap!

I don't recall dreaming about anything last night...I slept like a rock. But I've had those dreams before, that leave you shaken in the morning, even though you can't remember what they were about.
June 16, 2009 at 11:23 AM
I had a dream the other night that I was in a fist fight over a parking spot in front of church. This is odd because I don't fight and I'm not really good at going to church. Hmmmm.....
June 16, 2009 at 1:16 PM
Dreams stay with me too, good or bad. Usually I remember some detail that I can't shake. It's usually better by the next day, but the day of -- I'm just messed up about it. I hope you feel better tomorrow.

I don't remember any dreams last night but I slept like crap too!
June 16, 2009 at 2:29 PM
Sometimes I wake up and wish I lived somewhere that it was ok to start drinking at 5am because I'm seriously that freaked out.
I get the 'running from...' dreams all the time. WTF? If I only ever showed myself what I was running from I'd at least know what the heck I was up against. But no.

I hate dreams like that. I have them all of the time. THe ones that stay with you all day are the WORST!
June 16, 2009 at 7:11 PM
I've had those dreams, too. You can't remember what it was about, but you just feel off all day. Mine don't usually start over or continue.
Maybe it's watching too much J&K+8! That's enough to give anyone nightmares. Try to fall asleep thinking positive thoughts. :)

I had some doozies when I was pregnant but it has been a long time since I had one that made me all nervous and jumpy all day!!!
Good luck tonight...get some deep shut eye! ;)

June 16, 2009 at 8:49 PM
I have had dreams that make me awaken with that feeling, and not remember the dream. Like you I try so hard to get back to it.....
