I'll Be Sleeping in the Dirt
What am I doing right now?Blogging of course.
I should be getting ready for our camping trip.
Haircuts for the boys, packing clothes, tidying up, paying bills.
But, I procrastinate.
Plus, my stomach is wrecked.
Nexium is slowly becoming a fail.
Not to mention it's $160 a month WITH my insurance.
Going to take it the rest of the month and then go to plan B.
Which is an unknown plan, the worst kind!
But it better consist of cheaper medication, and stomach relief.
I hate trying to look forward to vacation and feeling like crap at the same time.
Once back from camping, we get a laundry day, then back on the road to San Diego.
My road trip diet may consist of Maalox, Tagamet, and Xanax.
Plus all the stress and my addiction to coffee and chocolate.!? Just adds to the pain.
Joy.
We did make it to Walmart.
Stocked up on lots of chocolate, bug spray and air mattresses for the lake.
Oops, chocolate is bad for me.
Crap.
4 days in the dirt and no chocolate?
Wish me luck.

I can live without coffee, but not chocolate. I need it like oxygen!
Have fun camping, we're going next weekend.

Have a great time camping and enjoy a little down time. You deserve it.

I hope you have a great time camping (I know you and your family will...) I hope that you find some relief for your pain very soon!

If your tummy's bothering you, I'm guessing alcohol is right out, too. That's the way I get through vacations in the dirt.

Hope you get thru your camping trip and can have yourself some fun! yet take it easy!

Try http://www.needymeds.com - they have a link to the manufacturer's assistance program for almost EVERY medicine out there. I'm waiting for my approval on a few of them, and the app process is easy.
$160 a month (with or without insurance) is INSANE.

Good luck.
Nexium still isn't working for me...but I found a program (through Nexium) that makes it only $25 a pop. I can send you the link if you want.
Have fun camping.

Why is it so easy to blog instead of doing what needs to be done? Like right now, there's so much to do, but I'm just commenting away.
Canadageneric.com is a good resource for cheaper prescription drugs. Never fear, it's totally kosher.
Have fun camping!

I hope your tummy cuts you some slack and you have a great trip!

I know exactly how you feel, I shouldn't eat tomatoes...or drink wine, but I can't resist sometimes!
Try the generic version of Protonix that I told you about. I take 40mg (1 tablet) a day, and it works great for me! And it's only $10 with my insurance!

I have GERD and take a different drug that seems to work. I still stay away from caffeine, alcohol, mint, gum and acidic items such as lemon, lime, and tomato sauce. I found this has made a huge difference. Try omitting some of these items and see if it works.
Have fun camping

Oh Jen, I'm so sorry about your stomach pains. I can totally relate.
I love the prescription discount info. that your lovely blog friends are sharing. GREAT information!
I can't remember if I told you this but, I had a boss that told me, during my beginnings of an ulcer, to drink fresh cabbage juice. Yuck! I did it, I was desperate. Everyday at lunch I would go home and puree a cabbage. (Are you shuddering yet? ;-> ) Well, it actually gave some relief. If you do this, let's compare notes :->
I hope you have a great time camping!
