Party on Wayne, Party on Garth

I love that I have friends that can throw their own birthday parties.

I mean host the whole thing, food, goody bags, entertainment (Stampin' Up demo, Mamma Mia Karaoke, A Masseuse).

I wouldn't do that.

I'd be too afraid no one would come.

But I should.

My friend had her 25th anniversary of her Sweet 16 party tonight!

Cute huh?

For the mathematically challenged, she's 41.

I could have my 20th anniversary of my sweet 17 party next year.

Serve all my faves, pizza, Hershey's, and Cosmos.

Hire a comedian, watch Adam Sandler movies, then we can all blog, enter online contests, and Twitter all night.

Maybe have a Photoshop demo.

Ah here's where the discrepancy between real life and the interwebz clash.

My IRL pals would be all..."um, this is boring."

My web friends would be all, "i'm there!"

Maybe I should just have it a Chuck E. Cheese.

I know my kids would come.

How would you host your own birthday party?!

I had my last party on line. My internetz pals sent me party food recipes and I posted all of them on my birthday. It was kinda fun. I don't think I could pull off a IRL party. Besides, in this economy, a blog party was very inexpensive.

I would love to have a big sleep over! No kids, No husbands, just women hanging out doing our nails and gossiping just like back in Jr high/high school. Unfortunately i find myself with a lack of friends to do so with. As a mom i have really narrowed my friend pool down o those people i know i can trust and trust me in return (plus i never was very popular). So it might make for a boring sleep over lol.

I'm nowhere near confident enough to throw my own birthday party - like you, I'd be afraid no one would come.

And... well, I kind of want someone ELSE to think I'm important enough to warrant a party.

I'm not sure how I'd post my party but I know I'd have lots of loud metal music, salty chips and sweet chocolate. And pizza: pepperoni, pineapple and onion. Mmmm now I want to order a pizza. lol

Hope you have a great time at the party.

Oh, and thanks for doing the math for me, I'm very mathematically challenged!

    I wouldn't throw myself a party - no way...but if you'd like to, well....

This has never occurred to me, and I'm intrigued. Hm. My friends do not hang out together but come from all corners of my life, so putting them all together would be interesting. My 50th is right around the corner (just kidding, mostly). Maybe I should throw my own party, rather than being subjected to a "surprise" party; you know, the kind where everyone brings Ex-lax and stuff.

Uhm, I love your idea for a party! Of course I'm on the computer at 11:30 on a Friday night! I've been trying to recruit IRL friends to blog, not much luck! But I do have two (that's IRL friends who blog)!

I'd come to your party! My FAMILY didn't even have a 50th b-day for me, so you know if I want a party, I WILL have to throw one myself. I'd have cosmos and lots of pampering! Maybe I can do reverse parties, instead of being 52 in February, I'll start going backwards and I will be FIFTY again! Hmmmm now I'm thinking!

I have never thought of this. I am with Courtney, girls sleep over sounds like a blast. Back to the elementary and middle school days.

Your party sounds like a lot of fun! I would SO be there :)

If I threw myself a party...it would be filled with wine, margaritas, chick flicks, blogging, tons of chocolate and chips with dip and taking quizzes in magazines--just like in high school.

Maybe before that we would go get our hair done, manis, pedis...ahh...it's nice to dream :)

I hosted my own bday party. We had a for ladies only party and then went to a mexican restaurant. It's a pink pirate themed and totally awesome!
