An Engineer & a Naked Lady Walk into a Bar...

Hubby is a civil engineer and land surveyor. I don't know what that means. For over 12 years now people will ask me what he does for living and I have no clue. He mostly works on the computer, AutoCad I think. He goes surveying with his robot. He comes home way too frequently with poison oak after trespassing, I mean surveying.

One time, I was ready to go on my scrapbooking weekend with the girls. He had been surveying on the company 4-wheeler, flipped it, and part of something cut his face open. He came home with a J-shaped hole on his cheek. Had to run to emergency for 16 stitches. He's lucky he didn't crush a vital. I still got to go on my trip...hours later. Remind me to tell you the story when he broke his arm on my 21st birthday, the guy has a thing with danger and special events!

Where was I?

Oh yeah. Hubby got blogformance anxiety and wanted to bail on writing a post. What? This was even something you coined your brain-child. GHOST HOST. You can't bail!

After a few refills on the wine glass...er beer stein, he's talking. It's not much, but it's an interview about what the heck he actually does when he goes to "work."

Me--I'm going to interview you now.
Hubby--To see which Sex and the City girl I am?
Me--(laughing hysterically)

Me--Okay, seriously.
Hubby--What is this for again?
Me--Just answer the questions.

Me--What's your job description?
Hubby--Jack of all trades, master of none.
Me--dear god *SIGH*

****4 ridiculous answers later...****

Hubby--I design roads, bridges, train tracks, big stuff
Me--Go on.
Hubby--Mechanical engineers design cars, we design the roads.
Me--What about Land Surveying
Hubby--We tell you where your property lines are.

Hubby--Oh wait, remember that joke about the priest, the civil engineer and the naked lady on the bike?
Me--Where the engineer doesn't notice the woman but says "nice bike?"
Hubby--And mentions her tire pressures are low....
Me--Wow this is exciting stuff.
Hubby--I can find the exact joke.
Me--Really, I think we're done. Thanks we've all been enlightened.

If you're wondering if I ever get a serious answer out of my Hubby.
No, no I don't.

Hmmm. Maybe he had a good idea with that whole "which sex in the city girl am I" thing. It might prove rather telling.

I don't know what my husband does either. I don't really need to know unless he stops bringing home the bacon. You can bet then I'd be interested!

LOL! This is especially funny to me since MY husband is a land surveyor too!! Unfortunately I know all too much about what he does, tho, since I do the drafting from home.
Thanks for stopping by my place. I'll be back!

I found you from Jennifer's blog.

My husband is a Electrical Engineer working as a Project Engineer for NASA and I don't know what he does either. I went to NASA's website one day to find out and I got all confused.

At least your engineer is funny.....

When I was married my husband would come and start talking to me about work. I would just look at him with a very confused look on face. I NEVER asked questions, because the answer was something that would just confuse me more.
