blog readability test

Well, it's official. I write like a first grader. It's fitting in a way, I was a kindergarten and first grade teacher. It's what I know.

I'm a bit offended though. I went to college. I gradudated.

I've seen REAL blogs. Blogs that have reading levels at "post-graduate." I'm so jealous of them and their high-fallutin' grammar. I bet they don't say "high-fallutin'" either. If they do they at least spell it right.

Hubby mentioned that there must be a program that scans the site and picks up on poor grammar. (he's trying to make me feel better) Too many exclamation points, misspelled words, punctuation abuse, that sort of stuff. Well, if that's the case, GUILTY AS CHARGED. I didn't start my blog to win any literacy awards anyway, so there! *sticking out my tongue*

that's mature, i'm just oozing elementary school

Probably teaching the world K-lish doesn't help either. None of her words are in the dictionary.

Well, i'm in a pickle. Should I amp up my posts? Should I discuss politics, the state of the union, and quote Dickens and Bronte? Will that jack up my score? Should I use words like prophetic and onomatopoeia. Maybe I can say poop less.

BOOOOORRRIIINNNNNGG!

I am who I am.

I don't know the proper way to use whom in a sentence. I don't give a rat's you know what about it either. So take that silly blog quizzy thing!

Feel free to tell me your blog's reading level. But if you blog gets T.P.-ed, it wasn't me.

    Well...blow me down.

I AM a grammar Nazi - just not with creative (read: bloggy) writing, because sometimes thoughts don't occur in complete sentences.

I got a High School rating - and I'm a grad student. Yeah, well..........

Oh la la. I rated at the high school level. I guess they paid no mind to my borderline obesessive use of commas. I'm so bad at that.

I don't think I can bear it. I KNOW I abuse the English language. I do it on purpose. To have my blog picked apart might be too much for my fragile ego. I'm with you, who wants to be all correct and what not! or (?)

Mine came out at college postgrad -I dont know how that happened! I never even went to college! You've gotta laugh, it gave me a giggle anyway.

First grade? Aren't you being a little hard on yourself. I'd have out you to at least the 4th grade myself. I fear that if my blog were read at a graduate level, I wouldn't even be able to understand my own ramblings. And now I must go see where I rannk.

And hey, if you tell me that you could have spouted out my latest post too (The one about Uranus), I am going to be seriously scared that maybe we actually are twins seperated at birth!

Mine was (somehow) rated high school, but Dooce? Elementary. CNN? Elementary. You're in good company!! Don't sweat it!

My blog is college--undergrad! I think that poetry Fridays helped my score tremendously! I'm notorious for constantly starting sentences with the word And.

Awesome find! My blog got a high school and pleasantly suprised...

I am a college graduate;but my husband calls me 'spell check'
(in that highly sarcastic, know-it-all-tone) so you can imagine my weakness.
