Dinner at Applebees, North Pole
Okay, I was really wanting to post a full story on tonight's Bachelorette episodes...but truth be told, i'm freezing...still. After having a date night with Hubby, purchasing a new microwave and summer shopping for the girls,we sat down to eat at Applebee's.As we were seated a shocking memory came back from our last visit. It could be 95 degrees outside, but the a/c in the restaurant is set at 20 degrees farenheit. FRIGGEN cold! Seriously, the blinds were swaying from the blast of arctic air shooting from the vents. This happened last time, I would have kicked myself but I couldn't muster the energy.
Hubby checked the car for a sweatshirt, but we had cleared it of any warm clothing...damn us for cleaning up after ourselves!
I was wearing proper attire for a warm night in G town, but I was not prepared for this. My ice tea and salad went down fairly well despite my shivering. Our mozzerella sticks satisfied my innards for a brief second while they were warm from the fryer. By the time my steak came...I was rabid, eating like there was no tomorrow, just trying to prevent my meat from freezing.
Dessert? What the hell-was-freezing over? I enjoyed my chocolate mousse as if it were my last meal before my cryogenic experiment killed me.
We sat in the car with the heater on 80 all the way home then I donned knee socks and the thickest blanket to watch the show. Here's all I have on tonight's episode....
Twilley and Sean were sent packing....even after a strong romantic dinner with Sean, D couldn't seal the deal with him. What single man do you know with a sauna and tanning booth in their house?? Twilley nearly lost his cookies on the helicopter ride to Palm Springs and just was not the man D was looking for.
Deanna will visit the hometowns and meet the folks of these final 4 men:
Jason--When D asked him about what she could expect going to his hometown...Jason said she'd meet his parents and of course Ty! She is up for the challenge and is realizing he is the full package.
Graham--Despite the STRONG sexual attraction, I think he is a scared boy, not willing to commit, did you catch his mom admitting he hasn't lasted longer than 4 weeks with any woman?? Rut Roh!
Jeremy--His ABS blinded me all episode...can't think. No, really, he and D could NOT sing a tune in a bucket...yikes.
Jesse--D went as far as saying he was HOT on the quads and she really was feeling it with him on their trip to the Palm Springs desert. He did not kiss her and she was signaling him for it...can this really work??

Brrrr!!!!! Just READING that made me want to curl up under a blanket!!!
I hate nothing more than going out to eat and FREEZING TO DEATH while trying to enjoy my meal!
Did you order a hot chocolate or a coffee to wrap your frostbitten hands around?

I can't believe Twilly lasted as long as he did. Jesse is cool, I like him, but in the end I think she'll end up picking Jeremy or Jason..despite the heat going on between Graham..she'll realize hes not really in it. Thats my synopsis..haha
btw I totally hear you about Applebee's..you can practically see your breath in there..wtf??

I thought for sure Jesse would take the hint and kiss her. I guess not. I hope things work out for her and Jason :) But Jeremy and Graham are nice to look at.

I swear they do it to get you in and out of there as FAST as they can. Turn over more tables... make more tips.
I'm sure you had a tip for them though...and it didn't consist of money.

I hate when it's too cold in restaurants... I'm the one that asks them to turn off the a/c, then they spit in my food for making them do something not in their job requirement!
And to answer your question, no, nothing wierd about wanting to be the goomara (to Tony, now Paulie would be a little wierd)- all of the perks none of the wifely duties.

Wow, a date night? You lucky girl. I can't remember the last time I had one of those. Sorry you had to freeze to death during yours.

It's horrible when you try to eat at a restaurant and you can't enjoy it because your are sitting there shacking been there with ya girl!!!
As for the Bachelorette I am still sticking with Jason. Jeremy just seems too stuck on himself.

I a NEVER cold so I can't even comprehend this experience.
BTW, would you quit showing off with all the cute headers? Some of us are jealous.

I am always hot (must be the blubber adding the extra insulation) but I HATE it when resteraunts are extra cold and it makes my food cold. Living in Florida they always go for the artic air.
I tagged you today on my blog for a MEME. Hope you can play along.

I am so behind on all the shows
Thanks for the recap, maybe I just need to check in here instead of watching the shows

I can't stand it when restaurants do that. Maybe they think it is comfortable since the people working there are running all over the place. I don't get it, but I don't like it either.
June 17, 2008 at 12:20 PM
OMG. What would I do without you and your Bachelorette re-caps!! Thanks! :)
June 17, 2008 at 12:22 PM
I've taken to keeping a pair of thick socks in my purse for when I go into freezing cold restuarants.
Peace out Twilley and Sean! They both sort of grew on me, but they weren't a good match for the big D.
Still can't stand the Jeremy droid although his abs are nothing to shake a stick at. I'm all about Jason. And Graham. Jesse blew it when he didn't kiss her. C'mon man, grow some cahones!

I hate it when restaurants have their a/c on way too cold. It used to be like that at the Olive Garden in VA, I hated going there because of the cold....but would suffer for the good food. :)
June 17, 2008 at 2:20 PM
absolutely hate colder than necessary restaurants!!
June 17, 2008 at 2:24 PM
Aren't date nights the best! Must be an Applebee's thang! It always seems to be freezing in there.
Go Jason!!
June 17, 2008 at 2:27 PM
I agree with you on the Arctic Blast at Applebees, the same is true here in FLA. The rest... nothing remotely intellegent to add.
June 17, 2008 at 3:06 PM
What is it with restaurants anyway? I know the employees are running crazy sometimes but really! We went to this place one time that was blowing cold air so hard our napkins, placemats, and menus were flying everywhere! And the staff really thought it wasn't that bad and looked baffled and annoyed when we insisted on moving.

I just notice what DQ stand for. When you were taking questions, I almost asked if it was for Dairy Queen. glad to see that it is not.
June 17, 2008 at 7:15 PM
I am betting on Graham. I kinda see what she is seeing. It could be that I was drinking wine while watching, but he has that something. I do like Jason (being a mom and all) and Jeremy is packing the muscles. DAMN!!! I still can't think straight.
June 17, 2008 at 7:24 PM
Thanks so much for the update; we forgot to TEVO it! Also, thanks for the reminder about the hot/cold thing out there! Will you please email me with your phone number (and city again), assuming that if we happened to be near you, you'd welcome a quick visit; I'm thinking we might head up to San Fran. after all....not sure yet, but just in case...
June 17, 2008 at 11:49 PM
Maybe you could have asked if they had a table open in the non arctic region of the restaurant? Just a thought.
June 19, 2008 at 5:43 AM
I think maybe Jesse needed a blinking NEON flipping sign to give him the go-ahead! :D What up with that? It was SO time for Twilley and Sean to leave, totally agree with her decision and your question about Sean. Weird. (btw: I slept through the ending...thanks for the re-cap friend!! There is just something I don't like about Jeremy...his eyes or something creep me out. Graham, hmm....needs to grow up and get a clue before she says buh bye. I'm all in for Jason still!! :)
June 19, 2008 at 10:57 AM
Must be an Applebees thing - the one in our town is freezing too. Maybe they think it makes you order more!
Thanks for entering my Writing Motherhood contest!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Jason!
June 21, 2008 at 6:11 PM
It's about time Twilley was given the boot. I about crapped my pants when she called his name last week. What a wacko! And what was up with his exit? "Ya did good. Ya did good." What the?
