K-lish, Lesson 4
Everywhere I go now people are commenting on how well K speaks for her age. The lady at the grocery store obviously doesn't read my blog.Either that or K only says 'hello' and 'bye-bye' when other people are listening.
Need to catch up on lessons 1-3? Click HERE.
Weedy-pretty-n. she calls hair ties and clips 'weedies'
Ayew-hair-as in 'mommy weedie ayew me?'
Moon--most often moon, but usually balloon--sometimes even the sun.
Happy to You--happy birthday to you, lit candle--she goes CAHRAYZEE at birthday parties.
Meenuts-peanuts--not to be confused with Meen Up (lesson 1)
Tito-Cheetos--she loves them, she turns orange, but we allow it
Whammy-pajamas--as in 'all done bass (bath), my whammy on'
Eye Peen Tone-ice cream cone--chocolate is her fave like mommy's!
Wiss You--with you--as in "wiss you daddy DQ dancey dancey" (go with daddy to pick up DQ at dance).
Pitchu Me?--picture of me--when looking into the mirror K says, "mommy pitchu me?" THIS is an amazing perspective coming from a 2 year old don't you think??!!
My Noon--my turn--she has to be included in everything.
Go Garget?--Target--she IS my daughter after all.
Dee Em Em--G-U-M--spelling gum. When My Boy asks for a stick, he spells it out to bypass K's radar, but she's smarter than the average bear!
Poo?--pool--I swear she's going to be a champion speller. When we discuss going to Yaya and Papa's for a swim, we again, spell P-O-O-L out to avoid K getting too excited if we decide not to go. Well, she has us figured out. If we say 'let's go to the p-o-o-l' she immediately starts in, 'poo? poo? Yaya's poo?'

Had to come back and post another comment, because today in the car with Kyle, I was reminded of one of his expressions. From early on, when he coughed, sneezed, ETC, he would sweetly sing out, "Scoo me!" Awwww.
June 13, 2008 at 8:46 AM
God i love that age. My 10 year old and I still say "I lah do" at night before bed because that's how she said "I Love You" at 2.
June 13, 2008 at 11:25 PM
OH. How sweet is that list!! Ben's getting there, too but I still can't decipher most of the words. Sounds like he's speaking Chinese half the time!!
