Cheap Thrills
Phew, my fingers are tired.Tired from typing my name, email, and URL into about 6000 different entry forms today.
I'm contesting.
And, even if that's not a word, i'm going to say it again. Contesting.
You know, entering every contest in the blogosphere from skin lotion to gift cards to Target.
It's free afterall. No mailing postcards, no buying raffle tickets.
Just takes time and minimal effort.
Or maximum effort.
I'm an addict. Hopeless.
Then all those bonus chances.

--Add our blog button to your sidebar! Yea, okay it's on my review blog. Good.
--Visit the site and tell me what else you like. Easy, I can shop!
And of course i'm doing a little giving away myself at Therapeutic.
It's a glorious circle of love people!
I have always loved entering Pioneer Woman's giveaways too. They are huge and simple, for your one and only entry you have answer questions like "what's your name?" and "what are you wearing?" How's that for easy?
She gives away KitchenAid mixers, $500 gift cards to Home Depot, Lowes, and Target. Computers and things. It's amazing.
The catch with her contests is like she'll get over 10,000 entries per contest. No kidding. My chances may be thin, but they are better than the lottery, so I give it my best shot, trying not to mispell my own name, and enter.
I've won a few things here and there too, that's fun. I have a blanket, book, necklace, gift cards, and some shoes for K under my belt, so I can just feel a laptop will be in my future too.
I can't give up.
I won't.

Sweepstaking is what I call it, and I know how tiresome it can be to enter your stuff a million times a day, there is a program called robo fill that you can enter your informationa and when you go to enter all you do is press a button and it fills it out for you!!

Don't get me wrong, I love to win. Especially with little to put in. But I get so, whats the word, just kinda- 'Humph' with it all. The Twitters, the comments, the facebooks, the magnet on my car, etc. Then I just go, 'ah, forgetabouit' Maybe I wouldn't if I won something. So here's to one less person standing in your way of a new Mac Book!

I'm addicted too! My ratio of wins is probably 2%, but I don't care! I love the winning!! And you're right it only takes a bit of effort! And if you don't want the worky-work of the extra entries, you don't have to! It's so much fun!

Yeah, I spend a lot of time entering contests, too. Someone I work with has won three different trips on sweepstakes, so I keep going at it.

You need to get ROBOFORM. All you do is fill out all the information and when a form needs to be filled out you click one button and your info is instantly put in. Try it...you'll love it.

You should try onlinesweepstakes.com (i think that's it.. google it, if it doesn't work) they have literally, thousands of contests! and you can download this thing that automatically enters your info for you! I have one tons of stuff that way! Clothes, shoes, boots, make-up, movies... its awesome!

I really should do more contesting. I've only ever done them on Pioneer Woman and Classy Chaos...
I'm still sorta new to the blog world so i'm just feeling my way around...Not groping anyone (that would be weird) just visiting blogs, reading posts and dropping the occasional comment.

Ah, contests and giveaways.... I'll have to admit, I have yet to participate in my very first. Not so sure why I don't sign up. Maybe the fact that I have no luck? Then again, you have to play to win, right? So maybe I should stop pondering and get 'er done!

I've tried entering a few things and have won a couple times-once over at Playgroups Are No Place for Children, and once during a contest on Twitter...I get hooked on it though, like you, and then cannot stop myself from entering contest after contest! Ack!

I hear ya, I'm a contest entering fool, I didn't win much and first and then BAM.. I won the Mutsy Stroller at MOMDOT. I have been pinching myself ever since!! :) I'm getting some great use out of it! :)

This was a fun post to read! I never knew about the contests until a little over a year ago! Entered a zillion and then stopped for about a year. Starting to enter again. lol
