Did You Say Flipflop?
My Boy is walking around the house with his toy air rifle in his Star Wars jammies claiming today was the best day ever.Birthday party, friends, baseball, cousin T sleeping over, um...yeah it is!
I love his enthusiastic heart.
But boys are just so... boy-ish.
Every other word is DUUUUDE!
And, these random words like Hiccup and Earwig.
My Boy--Mom! It's PIPLUP and TURTWIG.
Whatever, it's weird.
But I do think it counts as a second language, so be sure to add it to your college and job applications.
Tomorrow he's taking his metal detector out to find loose change and bolts.
Good times!

My 8 year old is big into "dude". We were out to dinner the other night and he was talking to his dad and say "Dude, you won't believe what happened in school". My husband said, "What did you just call me?" Boys are too fun!

Yeah...boys are definitely their own species! From their language to their unique odors...it's definitley a different world. But it's a world that keeps me laughing - well...most days, anyway.

Boys are the best. We had a beautiful spring day today, my son played outside for 9 hours!! He came in caked in mud, but it was his best day ever:)
Very nice to meet you!
March 15, 2009 at 6:15 PM
Um... my husband still gets waaaay too excited over a metal detector. I'm thinking of buying him one so he won't have to keep borrowing from the boys.
I do love raising boys! Dude!
March 15, 2009 at 7:07 PM
Yes boys have a definite imagination built into them! My boys all have very active imaginations too. LOL

How funny! Boys are just different but how cool is a metal detector. I don't think I would ever see my boy again of I gave him one. He would be out detecting for days! It would fascinate him!
March 16, 2009 at 4:38 PM

March 16, 2009 at 5:58 PM

Boys are so funny that way. My guy seems to come up with the strangest stuff. And it sticks for ages! The kids still have some of his words from last summer in use!
March 16, 2009 at 10:30 PM
Hey there Mom Jen that's tight!
I love it when the kids bring home the new lingo... and leave me in the dust~

Too funny! Will is getting to where he is starting to say sentences but they all come out as one word. Like inowahnadoit and iwahnapeesahcanny. See if you can figure those out. Hahahah. Good luck. I bet you get them first try.
Oh yeah, and new giveaway just started at Fort Thompson!
Love and Prayers,
Tim

March 18, 2009 at 1:55 PM
Too funny, my daughter and her friends made up a "language", they call it "KIRK" - now that's an acronym for something that currently I can't remember. However, in KIRK everything is the opposite.... Yes means no, in means out, girl means boy, and so on and so on.... trying following a conversation like that.... oh, I guess the point is us Non KIRKs are not supposed to follow!
KIDs gotta love em
