I Am NOT Hard to Buy For!

Dear Hubby,

It's almost my birthday.

I shouldn't have to remind you, we've been together for 18 years.

You'll say "I know, February 17th!" and I'll fake-punch you because you're teasing me and you really know it's FEBRUARY 6TH!

6th of February, 2010. It's a Saturday.

2 weeks from this Saturday.

So, you know that I love flowers in a vase.

You still won't send them because you think it's mean and flower shops are actually killers that hurt defenseless tulips and baby's breath is what they steal from newborns.

But, if you ask I'll still say that's what I want.

Like I have the last 18 years.

So, what else?

Hmm...I want to go on a wine-tasting trip.

A few couples.

Maybe a limo, so no one has to be responsible to drive.

I know a Napa trip isn't in the cards, but the local vineyard tour is nice.

I'll give you the numbers to call.

Or the email because that may be easiest for you.

Okay, face it, I'll plan it.

You just come along for the ride.

And, tell everyone you came up with this fabulous idea just for me.

I'll act surprised and in awe of you.

We'll drink a lot of wine.

It will be fabulous.

See how easy it is to get me a gift!

Love, Jen ♥

I love it!! I often buy my own Christmas presents. I wrap them and put them under the tree even!

Sounds like your bday is gonna be fun!

Sometimes making it that easy is the only way to get what you really want. Sounds like a fun Birthday plan!

Tell him to go to COSTCO to get the flowers--they are super cheap there and you can put them in a face at home. Tell him with all the weather we have been having all over the US but the flowers will live a much happier life inside at your home. As for the limo and Napa--good luck. You may want to refer him to gifts.com that is usually where I get my ideas from. Dang, I should probably do some PR there. I have told so many friends about that site. I deserve free stuff..maybe some flowers...in vase.

I gave up on my birthday a long time ago. It just isn't worth it anymore - even if the family does remember it they all stand around going "Huh? What? Cake? Dinner? Whatdowedo?" [but heaven forbid we forget one of theirs!]

I really hope you get your wine trip - I would love to hear all about it. And have a fabulous birthday.

Too funny.... what about an orchid plant, or African violets???... as long as you water them they will re-flower and not die :)

For my 50th they threw me my first ever b-day party.. and it was a surprise I had no idea.... I thought "how thoughtful"- (about hubby) then found out that my kids/mom planned it & did all the work- he just wrote the check :)

Hey I'll take what I can get! :)

My husband is usually pretty good about my birthday. This year is my 30th so we shall see. I hope you get the OK to plan your wine tasting.
