Thanks for Nothing.
UGH!Pissed is the mood of the day.
My husband applied for a local job.
He needed 3 letters of reference, of which 2 he got speedy-quick.
The 3rd, he asked...waited, then finally got a yes.
The person replied with, I will send it to you tomorrow.
"Tomorrow" came and went.
And went.
And went.
As did the deadline for the job application.
The application was turned in anyway. Incomplete.
An email was sent.
Not to be annoying, just to be assertive.
"Thank you for offering to write a letter of reference for me for the job of ....... The deadline for the application has come and gone. If you can still send me the letter, I will send it in with my incomplete application and see if can be accepted."
3 days later. Nothing.
I am so pissed. So unprofessional.
This whole time we could have found someone more reliable to write this letter.
But, hope was held out.
This wasn't to volunteer to coach baseball.
It's a JOB application.
For a JOB. That pays the bills and supports a family.
One that might not be offered, maybe because of an incomplete application. Maybe.
Thanks for nothing.
Dammit.

So sorry about that, Jen! I can only imagine your frustrations. I think people have lost touch with HOW to be professional.

You have every right to be pissed. It is very unprofessional and almost smug. As in- I have a nice job and am so busy I can't be bothered to help YOU get a job too! I hope either the letter comes through or he is considered for the job anyway.

That is horrible. I'm constantly amazed by the audacity of people. He obviously has never had a good dose of karma.
(((((hugs))))

Definitely every right to be angry -- that was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I can't believe someone would be like that. Grrrrr.
