Summin' It Up Saturday

*We've been to the pool almost every day this week. It's been HAWWWT! Thank you Yaya and Papa for the pool use. Even baby K is becoming quite the swimmer (with floaties). She also loves to check her fingers for SHRIVEL when she's been in there for a while!

*Saw Sex and the City again with Ro and Merrie. Loved it again! My friend Lisa has yet to see SATC, and YES, I will go again. Third time's a charm.

Poor G went to Zohan alone, but she loved it! Hubby and I saw it for our anniversary, and we're suckers for Adam Sandler comedy (Billy Madison is the best). Just a funny clip (turn down my playlist first)....

*100 degrees out and everyone and their aunt's ex husband are in one of two places: Target or Baskin-Robbins. We were in Target.

*If you noticed my new blogroll...Blogger has stepped up another notch on my I Love Blogger ladder! They keep my BR up to date with the most recent posts from my favortite blogs and their post titles.

*Thanks to Merrie at Sleepless Mornings for the Internet Guru info to make my blog 3 columned. Love it. One of these days I'll get strikethru text.

*If you're stopping by from another blog, take a moment and introduce yourself! I love finding new blogs to read, so i'm bound to connect to your blog through that same comment!

*If anyone has a superb-tried-and-true-family-style Pasta Salad or Potato Salad recipe, send them to me!!

*I've got a small handfull of questions for my next ASK THE MOM post. Check my right sidebar for the email addy.....ask away!

*McMommy has such wonderful ideas!! Every Friday she does a POW (post of the week) roundup. Add yourself to her link-roll with your favorite post of the week from your blog. Leave her a comment and a thanks and then go read through a ton of FAB posts from other new and great blogs. It's all about love and support through the bloggin' community y'all!

*50% of my playlist is music from DQ's dance recital. She told me tonight it makes her both happy and sad to listen to it because those songs, those dances, are done for the year. Next week starts summer dance. New routines. New techniques. A brand-spankin' new class: Pre-Pointe!

If you've ever been to a dance recital, the talent and choreography that the teachers demonstrate is awe inspiring! From the itty-bitties dancing to Locomotion...to DQ's tap duet to Freeze Frame....to the teacher's dance to Mercy. Here's to a new season!

*Would you like to win this?.....

Then check out The Secret is in the Sauce and you too would be in the running! This site is another fabulous way to find other blogging sites and promote your own. Tiffany and Heather are such smart women and have provided this site out of love for all that is Bloggy!

*This just in! Pioneer Woman is giving away Photoshop CS3 in another contest!! Get over there and enter. As of 3:53pm Saturday she has 3000+ comments. Contest ends tomorrow at 10am PST!

I am so jealous. Life in California sounds sublime - hot weather, swimming pools, Baskin-Robbins and Target, what more could you want.

My go to cold pasta dish could not get any easier. You cook any type of pasta, put in fridge to cool. Once it is cold, put in Italian salad dressing, cut up cheese, celery, tomatoes, cuccumbers and pepperoni and or salami. You can take out anything you don't like and add whatever you have on hand. My oldest likes it with just the cheese and celery, and of course the dressing!

    Add salt and pepper.

    Enjoy

Thanks for commenting! Yeah, my dad passed away in March, and was sick before that, so now my mom can babysit! That sounds crass, but you probably get what I mean. Now she IS ABLE to. I like your bachelor recaps, too!

hmmm. hello. potato salad is always easy and yummy. around here we boil a bunch of potatoes. While they're doing that, we saute some onion and broil up some bacon. yum, bacon. mix potatoes, sauteed onion, bacon, mayonaisse and splash o' vinegar. salt & pepper to taste. yum, bacon.
