Laughing Then Crying

Please remind me, Scrubs is a comedy, right?

Ha ha. Funny! A comedy.

Why is it that after every episode I'm in tears?

I watch it because I want to LAUGH, hard.

Come on!

The last episode had Elmo, Grover, Oscar the Grouch, and another Muppet on it!!

Why am I crying?

Well, like a good afterschool special, Scrubs often has these killer morals to the story that just go straight to your heart.

Not to mention the show's about a hospital, patients, and sometimes death.

But, come on, don't do this to me.

Comedy is my salve.

My escape from reality.

Considering the show was half Sesame Street anyway, My Boy caught part of the show.

The line from J.D. was as follows:

JD--(coming out of day dream mode)...What is Elmo, a seal?
*mega laughter from Hubs and I*
My Boy--(laughing, then serious) No, he's a MONKEY!

There it is.

Thank.You.Son!

Huge fan of scrubs...not sure why J.D. keeps having flashbacks with muppets characters. The new "head" interns they each selected should make the show interesting.

Check out my post of an airball freethrow!

A good belly laugh till you cry is one of the greatest gifts...my sister got me with one yesterday...She and hubs are on a diet, hubs complained that she gave him too much food for dinner...the next day she packed him a 100 calorie bag of chips for lunch...I almost fell out of the chair...

I love, love, love Scrubs. I was so mad when I thought it was going to be cancelled without JD & Elliott hooking up again!

I also noticed last night how they can go from so funny to so serious in the blink of an eye.

I love Scrubs, but at the same time I have a kind of hate. See, my husband's best friend, Ben, killed himself a few months before our wedding. Remember the show where Dr. Cox's best friend and Jordan's brother Ben died? The one where you don't see it coming? Yeah. We accidentally watched that once. It didn't go over well, that's all.

Yep. Me too, I am constantly crying about stuff. My hormones are whacked, though!

I am the same way when it comes to Scrubs. They always make me laugh, and they always make me cry. R and I have laughed about that, too, that I'll cry at the end. But they know just what they're doing.

Thanks for the Elmo tip -- I wondered, too. Monkey it is.

The one where JD and Turk stay with the guy who is dying instead of going on their man date with steak made me boohoo.

This whole time I have been wondering and I could have just asked him...I always thought Elmo was a monster. I know pretty lame and "out-there," it makes way more sense that Elmo is a Monkey. ;)

Oh my gooooosh - you love Twilight AND Scrubs?! You are my new BFF! :) Hubs and I religiously watch Scrubs, we just got into it last season so we've been having marathon viewings to catch up! And yes, I've been known to tear up while watching the wisdom of JD, Turk, Carla and Dr. Cox :)
