3rd Post Today
Catching you up...**I have a link on my sidebar "potty progress" that is all the recent activity in K's new adventure. If I didn't have that, my posts would be over-flowing with poop and pee talk.
You're welcome.
The gist is, she's doing amazingly well, even keeping her nap-time-dipes dry (2 hour naps)!!
**The new sleeping arrangement is going so-so. She starts out sleeping on the bottom bunk, but like clock-work around 3-4am she strolls to my side of the bed, scares me to death and says "wif you!" This is going to go on for a while, but it's okay.
**And, since I opened my big mouth to begin with...i'm being treated for a bad uti...hopefully meds will kick in soon. I have an ultrasound to rule out ovarian cysts or other pelvic activity on the 22nd. Hopefully between the two issues i'll be better and we won't have to dive further into my medical mystery.
Thanks for the kind words of support, truly, i'm such a worry wort!!

Yay for good potty progress, Baby K! Not such a baby anymore I guess :(
And hopefully she'll transition to completely sleeping in her own bed soon for ya.
Glad (although OUCH, not glad you have one) it's "just" a UTI so far. Keep us posted, and feel better!

You know that I can't read...and you post 3 times today????? thanks...that is 2 other people that I now can't read.

{{{{ Gentle hugs }}}}
Ouch! Hope the meds make you feel tons better by the morning!
Can K come teach J how to use the potty!!

It's all so femininely pelvic here! If you have a kidney stone there is no doubt about the emergency room. The tragic diseases have weirder symptoms like hairy toes and stuff. antibiotics will fix the UTI but not the anxiety. Also not the lack of sleep. Sleep more important that kid sleeping in her own bed. Any other questions?

So glad you posted again.
I was hoping it would be something easy to treat like that.
You should be doing much better in a few days.
Milk. it.
Let hubby take care of everything!!!

OH GOOD! You had me worried!
August 11, 2008 at 4:43 PM
Glad to hear it doesn't appear to be anything serious. Although I have to say uti's are no fun either :-( Hope you feel better soon.

Yay. I was hoping for an update... I'm glad to hear that it's a UTI. Not glad that you have a UTI, of course, just glad that it's something easily fixed.
And potty training woes... Yeah, me too, honey. Me too.

Glad everything's ok!

Hey, UTI's aren't something to joke about, either. They can be painful, and I've had them lead to kidney infection, which is even more painful. I'm glad you went to the Dr. when you did!
And thanks for keeping the potty talk to the side. lol
I love "wif you." awww

I am so glad it's just a uti..I mean, those suck, but at least it's relatively harmless. Time for some cranberry juice....or red wine:)
August 11, 2008 at 6:24 PM
uti's suck! i was getting them every 6 mos like clockwork until the mother of all mother uti showed up...i ended up having a 12 cm kidney stone (had a lithotripsy to break it up) LOL they said it took yrs to develop. that doc was the one who also suggested i check for thyroid, but by the time i was supposed to, they no longer took the ins. i lucked out and had a ppo and could go to specialist. if not for that, i probably would be really bad off. i take meds everyday now.
i'm glad that it's just a uti..but boy, those can be hecka uncomfortable.

What a great post! Two opposite ends of the peeing spectrum. One's just figuring it out, and one's just figuring out what's wrong with her!
Glad everyone is progressing well. Thinking of potty training mine, but not sure. Guess I'll read your posts and see if I'm ready for it!

LOL as crazy as it sounds, there are times when i actually miss potty training. i guess i won't be saying that when we have to go through it again. lol

I am glad to hear that there isn't nothing too serious going on. I have a friend that gets really bad uti infections and I can imagine what pain you are in. In the meantime, my prayers wil be with you.

On no I am sorry you have such a bad UTI, I hope the meds kick in REALLY REALLY Fast!
Great K is doing so well with her PT, I am going to have look at the updates and see how she is going with the pooping. Lots of pooping in pants here....but peeing is perfecto!!
Feel better my friend, and HUGS and KISSES from me.

I hope it's the most minor and treatable issue. It's no fun to be in pain. :) I'll keep you in my thoughts!

Oh, I can feel it now! My back hurts! I hope you're bouncing back soon!I'm sure you're fine otherwise- STOP WORRYING!
When my daughter was 10 mos. , she had a bad UTI, but also had 'the flu'. FOR 3 WEEKS, the dr. kept telling us her 105 temps were from 'INFLUENZA'!!! She ended up being hospitalized for 9 days of intravenious antibiotic to kill the kidney infection that it had turned into!!! Needless to say, she is no longer our dr.!

I hope you feel better, sweetie!

UTI's are the worst! Here's to a quick recovery and some good meds to help stop the pain and burning... :)

K sounds like my 3 year old! Every night! Last night, she was in her own bed until 4:50 this morning when she was woken by Honey leaving for work!
Sorry about the UTI. Hope you feel better soon!

I hope your ultrasound goes alright. I've had more issues with the girl parts myself. What a pain.
Peace.
