We All Have Stuff
Okay I think I can post about my quirks once a week.Molly from The Girl in the Middle tagged me. I've done this meme a few times, but because she had just returned from a girl's weekend as I had, she mentioned that she was quirkier than she realized.
Then I thought, all my friends and I talk about this each time we're together. We all have our thing. Whether we see it in ourselves or others see it in us.
So this is my Girl's Weekend Quirks
1. I stop drinking after one night of feeling sick. Mixing beer and vodka doesn't make my stomach happy. Ask the rental downstairs bathroom. Plus the THROBBING headache the next day makes me feel like i'm dying so...I drank water and tea for the next 3 days.
2. If I'm drinking I won't take medication. Just won't. G thought I was weird, but I'd rather not play medicinal roulette.
3. I hate having my picture taken. Ranch Girl loves to take pictures of me to tell a story...the story of me making ugly *uglier* faces then eventually flipping off the camera series of about 5-6 photos, all equally unflattering. She does it intentionally to make me squirm.
4. The ugly cry will always come out on a girl's weekend. This time it was started by hearing, "You're Gonna Miss This" by Trace Atkins (SUE!!). BUTTERFLY KISSES?! Holy crap! I started bawling. Then a trend was started as we decided to start playing You Tube videos of all the saddest songs we could think of. It was a wet mess.
5. I get cranky when i'm hungry. It was my own fault. I skipped a meal then we headed to the yarn shop and the bead shop to fulfill our crafting needs. After my 10 minutes in each store I was done, while my friends were not. Ask Miss Bloom, I almost ate her!!
6. Finally, I'm real quiet when I'm sad. The last day, and then the morning we all head out, I try to avoid eye contact with everyone. It's hard for me to say goodbye.

So now, I'm tagging Ranch Girl, H, G, and Miss Bloom (mostly for Miss Bloom to start a blog first). What were your quirks this past weekend? ;)
Acrostic Saturday
Tell Me, Acrostically....what your plans are for the weekend. Use the word, THERAPY.An example is my weekend...
T--Touching base with Southwest Airlines about my upcoming flight
H--Hearing my kids argue about something or another
E--Eating lots of carbs
R--Reading one page of the paper before getting disinterested
A--Adapting to the weather change
P--Paying money to buy cool weather clothes
Y--Yearning for my upcoming trip
I promise next time I do this, the words will be shorter.
Your turn.
That's all.
(I just watched The Devil Wears Prada and I LOVE this saying! ;))
It's All About I
*Before I get to the meme, I just have to say it was entertaining to read all the funny comments about K's toes in the ATWT post! I didn't realize how many people have a little foot fetish! ;)*Oh and McMommy and Sue already know about this but....Have you ever tried to swallow a perscription med and choke on it...then it dissolves into a sludge in your hand when you cough it out...then you think DAMN I need that med to work for me so you slurp it up and it's the most BITTER GOD AWFUL thing you've ingested ever...then you find anything and everything to wash it down before you lose your breakfast?!
No?
Me either.
Alrighty then.

Free For All Friday
There is just SO much in my head. Expressing it all would be called "word vomit" or the pleasant "verbal diarreah" expression my mom used to use.K's progressing well with potty training at home. We're raising a partial nudist, but everyone has their calling right? What is more frightening is that she's climbing out of the crib daily. A few months back she did it and freaked us out by just showing up behind the door after we had put her in her crib. That was a fluke.
But now she's doing it daily for nap, and nightly at bedtime. To save her from any harm we're just allowing her to nap on the couch. Or not nap at all. The schedule is definately different, but with the PT'ing going on we just need to go with it, we can't strap her down in the crib, so we pick our battles.
Last night I found her roaming in the hall saying "nye nye couch." I steered her back in her room and put her back in the crib. I layed on the pull out bed/sofa in her room and she fell back asleep. A second time she roused, Hubby got to the room before the Houdini antics ensued. *yawn* Fun times.

20 Things I'll Never Do
Janel at Dandelion Dayz posted this meme and I thought it was a clever challenge. She tagged me for a random fact list that I realized later I've already done HERE. Never say Never, but I'm sure as of right now, this moment that........1. I will never walk the Red Carpet all Glam-like.

3. I will never will enjoy my photo being taken...unless a nose job, tummy tuck, and chin redux is in order.
4. I will never be a backup dancer for a famous singer. Maybe DQ will, I'll live vicariously through her.

6. I will never be a size 2 again or 4 or 6
7. I will never be happy with a hairstyle or color on my head.
8. I will never voluntarily watch The Hills, Big Brother, or Tila Tequila.

20. I will never like pork chops...much to my Hubby's chagrin.
Alrighty then...I'll tag anyone else who wants to play, no pressure!
You, You, You Outta Know
I was tagged by Jen and Michelle both, so here are ten random facts about me.1. I was hit by a car at age 2 and was in a body cast for 6 weeks with a broken femur and collar bone, amongst other head trauma. People always go, "oh...that's what happened." when I tell them. Ha ha very funny.
2. My shoe size used to 7.5 prior to babies, now it's an 8. Something about growing feet is freaky to me, anyone else?
3. I lived on chips and salsa in college. My fave mexican restaurant is still in my college town and we often visit JUST to eat there.
4. I LOVE suprises, but HATE suprise visitors. More often than not, the house is thrashed and I can't concentrate on conversations had because I start picking up around company. Then I regret ever opening the door. Please call first.
5. I switch my living room furniture around all the time, I love getting a 'new look' every once in a while and it also helps hide the hideous carpet.
6. I LOVE Hubby's deep laughs when he's cracking up. He's usually so even keel, it's refreshing and usually makes me laugh too. Turn on an episode of Flight of the Conchords and he's hysterical!
7. I can't sleep with the sliding glass door in our room open.
8. Christmas songs cannot be played too early or I go apeshit. Mid-November and later is okay, but before that is CAHRAY-ZEE!
9. I quote lines from the movie Elf more than necessary.
10. I'm still working on a scarf for DQ that I started last September.
I'll tag Vicky and Half-Past Kissin' Time. Can't wait to read yours!

Game On!
I love a good game, and this one looked cool when I saw it over at The Housewife Diaries.I'm going to pick 10 of my favorite movies and in random order post a quote from each one. You have to guess what movie the quote is from and POST IT IN MY COMMENTS. I will edit the list until they are all guessed correctly! No cheating and going to IMDB for answers!
1. I felt like Jodie Foster in "The Accused" last night. Merrie got this one...Vince Vaughn in Wedding Crashers.
2. The doctor said most of my injuries are emotional. Last but not in the least, least....Jamey via email answered correctly...You, Me, and Dupree...Owen Wilson!
3. I mean, I've had other men love me before, but not for six months in a row. Becky Rocks! She guessed Sixteen Candles and was right on the money! Sam's sister Ginny, the one getting married.
4. Does Barry Manilow know that you raid his wardrobe? Tasha guessed it right! Woot! The Breakfast Club...Bender asking Principal Vernon
5. He is a boil on the butt of humanity! Suzanne got this one! Weezer (Shirley Maclain's character), in Steel Magnolias, was hilarious in this movie!
6. If I have to hear "Yamo Be There" one more time, I'm going to "Yamo" burn this place to the ground. Kim via email got this one! The 40 Year Old Virgin
7. Haha that's funny I didn't know ath-e-letes had three syllables... thats ama-za-zaing. Another point for Suzi! Benchwarmers (i love stupid comedies okay?!) Rob Schneider's character.
8. Making fun of a kid for trying to read! Are you psycho? Do you not have a soul? Right again Suzanne! Billy Madison. When Miss Vaughn pulled him out of the classroom....my fave Adam Sandler movie.
9. Did you eat a lot of paint chips when you were a kid? Okay if there was a prize for most correct guesses...Suzi would win! Woot! Tommy Boy with the late Chris Farley.
10. These walls are funny. First you hate 'em, then you get used to 'em. Enough time passes, you get so you depend on them. That's institutionalized. Kim got this one too!! Great job on guessing Shawshank Redemption!
You know you know at least one of these!! PLAY! ;)
Tag, I'm It!
My girlfriend sent an email to list my favorite top 10...whatevers. Top 10 fave movies, top 10 household tips, top 10 ways to help the environment....anything! I must say the lists that are coming back to me are so fun to read, and some are very useful! I've been racking my brain for some creative ideas for my list and finally came up with.....
Jen's Top Ten Inventions to Make MY Life EASIER!!!
10. Automatic Toilet Cleaner. This would help tremendously if it would also use a robotic arm of some type to wipe the seat that is often sprinkled on by one small boy in my household, I won't mention any names!9. Soundproof Car Window between the front and back seats. This would work like the windows in limousines. It opens when the kids are napping, closes when anyone starts fighting, whining, or crying. ;-)
8. The Money Tree. I promise to keep it alive, not let it grow out of control, or drop leaves in my neighbor's yard. I promise to pick it's glorious "fruit" daily! Preferably $20 varieties, similar to an ATM.
7. An UNDO Button. You know, like that "Easy" button Staples has. Well, I want the undo button for times when I take that first sip of coffee and it burns my tongue and I can't taste or enjoy food for the rest of the day. Or it would be most handy when I casually cruise through that stop sign near my house because any more time in the car with screaming children may drive me insane, and that bored cop cruising the neighborhood sees me and decides to meet his quota by pulling me over! Not that it's happened...but just in case it does...
**UPDATE** This Exists...I'm 1 step closer to an easier life! 6. The Washer/Dryer in ONE unit. Why have 2 when one can do the whole thing? Maybe we wouldn't lose so many socks this way. Hubby wanted to chime in that this is HIS idea.
5. A No Solicitors Invisible Fence similar to those gadgets to get your pets to stay IN your yard...well this one would not let these annoying people INTO your yard or close to the front door. *yeah I'm still bagging on these poor salesmen
4. Going with the same idea as the Undo Button...how about an UnEat Button? For those times when you ate too much (or drank too much) and regretted it later, or the next morning. Like the time you were dared to eat an entire large pizza and did it...and hated yourself the next day. Okay, hate is a strong word!
3. How about a Brain Cell Bank. You can store your brain cells before you lose them all. This would be helpful when DQ brings out her 4th grade math homework and asks for help. I really didn't remember it being that hard when I was IN fourth grade....now I just say, "um...i'm busy right now, I'm sure dad will help you when he gets home!"
2. Blur, Sharpen, Hard Light, Soft Focus Tools for people. Right now you graphic designers, digiscrappers, and photoshoppers are all nodding your heads!! Use it on your skin, contour your midsections...kind of a self-esteem edit. Most of you are going, huh?!
1. Finally...never thought I'd finish this post... Smell-0-Vision, or Smell-o-Puter. For times when watching the Food Network and Rachael Ray is describing how delish her dinner smells. Or when browsing Pioneer Woman's blog and drooling over her chocolate sheet cake!
Feel free to add yours in my comments section!
